Our products allow anyone with a fingerprint to make amazing works of Art. What could be more unique than using your fingerprint to create Art!?

Hi, I'm Amber, a Crafty Creator and Co-Founder of FingerTips. I am a busy Mum to Sophie Jayne and engaged to the lovely Phil.

I am a Community Artist who specialises in bringing Art to the masses by breaking down the barriers and negative connotations people have with Art.

Art should not be contained behind barriers with people being instructed not to touch! Art should be about expression and we all have something to express!

I was born and raised in Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK and have not ventured too far from my home town. I studied at Portsmouth University and have a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. I have worked in the Education & Community Sector for over 6 years where I have gained a truly unique insight into our relationship with Art.

My Mission: To get everyone creating and enjoying Art!

Hi, I'm Sophie Jayne another Crafty Creator. I am the reason my Mummy & Grandma started FingerTips. This fantastic company allows my Mummy to spend lots of time with me while doing something else she loves too. I love helping my Mummy & Grandma with all things crafty!

My Mission: To have as much fun as possible and getting messy in the process!

The Concept Behind FingerTips by Amber...

From an early age I have always enjoyed Art and my relationship with Art has always been a healthy one. I realised early on in my life, while trying to cope with my dyslexia, that Art was a language in its' own right and a way I could be heard while trying to figure out the baffling English language!

A creative mind is not a linear one. Therefore, to stop me from digressing, if you would like to read more about our relationship with Art, please read my Article - 'I can't draw'

Let’s go back to basics....with our finger...no I have not gone mad you can really create refined Art with your fingerprint. In fact it is what our company FingerTips concept is based on!

I have created many designs and products where the recipient’s fingerprint brings the Artwork to life.

FingerTips is a tool for people to reconnect, in a positive way, with Art and have fun in the process. Once you have seen the amazing Art you can create with your fingerprint in a simple but effective way hopefully you will have gained some faith and confidence in your ability too create!

Amber's Art Style...

I have experimented with many Art mediums and Canvases in my time as an Artist and enjoy learning new styles and using them in an unconventional way.

My FingerTips Designs are hand-drawn then scanned into my trusty laptop. With my newest collection 'Fabric Friends' I have used found textures to 'colour' the characters in.

I have a stock of my family's fingerprints which I use to illustrate
where the fingerprints are intended to go on the design.
